The answers to "How does it work?", "Why is it better?", and "How can it supplement your marketing strategies?" are just below.
Do our ads cover any portion of the TV feed?
No, it is illegal to cover up any of the TV feed. We only slightly reduce the size of the TV feed without compromising its clarity or quality. This allows us to have an area on the right side and bottom of the screen to display ad content.
How much does the advertisement cost per TV?
We currently do not sell ads on just a single TV. We sell ads on our networks of TVs such as the Athens Restaurant Network, Athens Gym Network, and Georgia Square Mall Network. A rough estimate, however, is $25/4wks/TV for a Banner ad and $7/4wks/TV for Runner ads.
Could you clarify the term 'network' as it relates to Vega Media Partners®?
Yes. A network is simply a defined group of TVs within a geographic and/or demographic territory. Because they are usually high-traffic areas, we have found restaurants, gyms, malls, and high-volume physician office lobbies to be of substantial value in terms of captive audiences within those locales.
What, then, would comprise a Franchise?
A Franchise is built around a specific geographic territory such as a city. In most instances, such as Bibb County (the primary county that covers Macon, Georgia~pop. 100,000) there would exist an exclusive Franchise situation because the city is not large enough to comfortably host more than one Franchise Owner.
In larger areas such as the metro Atlanta area, however, it would be possible to have multiple Franchises, and appropriate boundary lines would be established to prevent any overlap by the various Franchise Owners.
How do you know the TV is on and displaying the ads?
Our software is programmed to turn the TVs on remotely 30 minutes before the location opens and 30 minutes after the location closes. Should a problem with the display arise, we are immediately notified via email and are able to quickly address the problem, allowing for minimum downtime with the ad content.
In what cities are there existing advertising opportunities?
We currently have advertising presence in Athens, Macon, and Valdosta, Georgia, and we would merely need to verify that there is available ad space.
How many times on average will my ad run during the day?
A Banner ad lasts 15 seconds and is guaranteed to display at least once every 20 minutes. A Runner ad lasts 10 seconds and is also guaranteed to display once every 20 minutes. Our locations are open an average of 10 hours per day. This would guarantee your Banner ad or Runner ad would display an average of 30 times per location per day.
How do you prevent ads from running in the same sequence and thus avoid viewer 'tune-out'?
The software randomizes or 'shuffles' the ads so that viewers are less likely to predict the ad order and discontinue watching. Also, this helps your ads to be placed next to a variety of other ads rather than the same ones each time.
How many times can you edit your ads throughout the term of your ad contract?
You may edit your ad unlimited times at no fee using our online software.
When will you start selling additional Franchises?
We will start selling additional Franchises in the first quarter of 2010.
What will be the cost to purchase and set up a Franchise?
The exact Franchise fee will vary but starts at $10,000. Additional estimates are available within the Franchise Disclosure Documents. These documents are available to qualified investors desiring to own a franchise. You may begin the process by emailing us your interest.
How long has the company been in business?
The company was founded in June of 2008, and we have hit our targeted growth benchmarks each quarter.
What is your vision for the company in terms of growth?
Through a strategic and thorough development plan, we fully expect to expand to more than 100 cities within the next 5 years. We are also aware that this will be achieved through the strong work ethic of a talented sales force coupled with support from leadership as well as the uniqueness of our software.
Do you own or lease the software?
We own our software and currently have a patent pending on both the software and the business process.
Why would someone choose to purchase a VMP Franchise versus starting one from scratch?
It is much more costly to purchase or lease software that would allow you to perform even a modicum of what we have designed. By purchasing a Franchise, you are provided a business plan that has been tested and proven in several markets. You also are provided additional services such as free upgrades, marketing, legal agreements, consultation, book keeping, accounting structure, pricing models, name recognition, and the value of cross-selling (the ability to earn a commission for selling ads within any other Franchisor's network or, conversely, receiving the benefit of a Franchise Owner cross-selling into your network.) VMP provides additional support for the use of our software in other revenue arenas such as leasing the software to banks, convenient stores, car dealers, etc.
What does the location have to provide to be a potential VMP hosting site?
All the location has to provide is a direct power source, light internet connection, and a TV feed. The TV feed could be cable or satellite.
How many Franchises could one person own and manage?
The VMP business model allows for a single person to effectively own and operate as many Franchises as they so chose. However, we recommend at least one full-time salesperson per 2 Franchises.
How do you prevent someone from putting vulgar or inappropriate content on the TVs?
The VMP main office approves all ads before they are published to the system.
How fast are the ads uploaded to the TV network?
After the ads are approved and scheduled, they will go live on the TV network within 30 minutes.
What do I do to request to be a potential location for one of your FREE TV Systems?
Simply register online, and we will personally follow up with you to discuss this opportunity further.
Do your ad clients see results?
This is a tricky question. We are an effective way for a company to brand their name and market specific products. However, we are not a quick fix for slumping sales. Only through consistent marketing will you be able to generate brand recognition in any market. Having said that, we are the greatest value when you compare the cost of other forms of advertising. Our slogan is, "Unless people stop eating and watching TV, they will experience your ads on our TV systems."
Why is this form of advertising supposedly better than the established and familiar formats of print, radio, and traditional TV?
To be quite blunt, they are all being severely challenged and currently displaced. The newspapers are having a difficult time competing with internet news; their usual readership base is less faithful, and younger generations are technology- focused overall. Typical radio is being challenged by satellite radio, and traditional TV is being diluted by the sheer number of channels, not to mention the ability of pre-recording and avoiding advertising altogether.
From a timeliness standpoint, our clients don't have to schedule their ads weeks or months in advance. Rather, they can change their messaging in the time it takes to send a simple email. This is particularly pertinent for businesses such as retailers, where it is vital to frequently change ads to correlate with special promotions, different seasons, and the holidays.
Explain the environmentally-friendly aspect of this type of media?
First, you obviously are not wasting paper. And to change traditional billboard signage requires more vinyl and someone to drive out in a bucket truck (a waste of both petroleum and diesel). The TVs through which we are advertising are taking only a small bit of electricity, and, in many cases, some type of television is already in place at that site. We are merely using a better quality, high-definition unit.
